MATCH PREVIEW: SLIMBRIDGE A.F.C VS EXMOUTH TOWN

Exmouth Town will make the trip to Slimbridge on Saturday as they look to win their fifth Southern League Division One South game of the season.

Despite a disappointing 0-0 draw against Westbury last weekend, a midweek shootout victory against Newton Abbot Spurs in the ST Luke’s Bowl will see Town full of confidence as they look to continue their great start.

THE OPPOSITION

Slimbridge have been a part of the Southern League system since 2015/16, and have gradually become mainstays of the Southern League Division One South, as last season proved with a 14th placed finish.

They have had a solid start to this season, with two wins, two draws and two defeats and are coming off the back of a fantastic 2-0 win against Willand Rovers.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

Speaking shortly after the Westbury game, Exmouth Town manager Kevin Hill said: “I quite like it, coming off a good win against Willand who beat us, it takes the pressure off a bit, and with our backs against the wall, I am quietly confident.”
