MATCH PREVIEW: LYMINGTON TOWN VS EXMOUTH TOWN
Exmouth Town travel to Hampshire this Saturday, to take on Lymington Town in the Southern League Division One South.
The two sides sit on opposite sides of the table, and Town will be hoping to keep up their great form, while Lymington will be wanting to score their first league win, following some impressive cup results.
Lymington Town come into this weekend’s clash having picked up their first point of the season, away to Frome Town.
This signifies an improvement in perfomance from Lymington which was seen in their games against Cinderford and Evesham, as well as a fantastic FA Trophy win against league leaders Sholing.
With things starting to come together for the Linnets, they will be looking to score that first win of the season and kickstart their campaign.
Speaking after the Cinderford game, Exmouth Town manager Kevin Hill said: “It’s a nice ground, another pitch we haven’t been too, it’s a longer journey up around Southampton.
I went and watched them against Willand on Wednesday, and they were decent.
They crumbled towards the end, but from what I saw, they were young lads wanting to play, they moved the ball and were busy, Willand just grinded them down in the end, and two mistakes meant they lost 3-0, but it wasn’t that type of game.”
We are running a coach for the game, this will depart from our ground on Saturday at 9:30am. The cost is £15 and if you are interested contact Martin Cook.
