MATCH PREVIEW: EXMOUTH TOWN VS CREDITON UNITED

Exmouth Town will be looking to advance to the quarter final of the Bayside Graphics Devon ST Luke’s Challenge Cup as they welcome Crediton United to the Circle of Care Community Stadium.

Town will be looking to arrest their slide in form with a win against a Crediton team who have only lost once in the South West Peninsula League Premier East in 18 games.

THE OPPOSITION

Crediton United have enjoyed a superb start to their 22/23 season, currently sitting 2nd in the SWP Premier East Division, only a point off league leaders Okehampton Argyle and the current leading goal scorers, with 43 goals in 17 games.

They advanced to the second round with a win against Cullompton Rangers, and are coming off the back of three straight league wins, including an impressive 5-1 victory against Sidmouth, and most recently, a 2-0 win against 3rd placed Ivybridge.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

Speaking after the Sholing game, manager Kevin Hill said: “It’s nice to have a game back-to-back and try and get that win.

Part of me wants to give some of the lads who have been on the fringes a chance in the side, but part of me after a performance like that wants to pick the same team and go out trying to win, give them some confidence.”
