MATCH PREVIEW: WIMBORNE TOWN VS EXMOUTH TOWN

Exmouth Town will be looking to score a second consecutive win as they travel to New Cuthbery to take on Wimborne Town this evening (7:30pm KO) in the Southern League Division One South.

Following Saturday’s win against Bashley, Town take on a Wimborne side managed by one of Kevin Hill’s former teammates in Tim Sills, who has helped Wimborne on an unbeaten run in their last six games.

THE OPPOSITION

Wimborne are currently just two points behind Exmouth, and are sat in seventh place.

They have enjoyed a strong run as of late, having brought in Sills as manager from fellow Southern League Division One South side Hamworthy United, with the team currently on a three game winning streak, including a fantastic away win at Tavistock.

The two sides have already met this season, as a late Dean Billingsley goal made the difference at the Circle of Care Community Stadium, as Exmouth came out 1-0 winners.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

Speaking shortly after the Bashley game, Exmouth Town manager Kevin Hill said:

“They’ve got to have the right mindset, we set everything up for them, it’s down to how they approach the game.

We’ve got willing runners, and try to limit mistakes, that’s the team we are.

If we press, and we are at them, we will cause Wimborne problems.

They will probably have most of the ball, we know that, if we play our game we will give them problems.”
