MATCH PREVIEW: EVESHAM UNITED VS EXMOUTH TOWN
Exmouth Town will be looking to end a poor spell of form this Saturday, as they travel to Evesham United in the Southern League Division One South.
It has not been plain-sailing for Exmouth since their win against Melksham, but Kevin Hill’s side will want to right the wrongs of last week’s 3-0 defeat at home against Larkhall Athletic.
Currently sitting in 9th, Evesham are on the hunt to overtake Town in those play-off places, but are yet to score a league win in 2023, albeit only playing twice against Bishops Cleeve and Hamworthy United.
The two sides previously met in September, and Exmouth came out on top following a thrilling first half which contained a red card, and all five goals, as the home side came out 4-1 winners.
Evesham have scored some impressive wins so far this season, and with the top five in sight, they will be looking to get back to winning ways.
Speaking shortly after Exmouth’s loss to Larkhall, manager Kevin Hill said: “Evesham will be favourites, sometimes we turn up in those games with less pressure on.
That could be a game that I experiment, or see whether some of our lads stand up, I would love to go there and put it right.
If we can go there and get something I will be loving it.”
Evesham play their football at the Spiers & Hartwell Stadium, which is located at:
