MATCH PREVIEW: TIVERTON TOWN VS EXMOUTH TOWN
Exmouth Town will look to get into the St Luke’s Devon Bowl semi-final tonight (7:45pm KO), as they travel to Ladysmead to take on Tiverton Town.
Searching for their first win of 2023, Town will be hoping to cause an upset against the Southern League Premier South outfit.
Tiverton currently sit in 14th in their league, with most of their recent games being marred by postponements caused by the freezing weather.
Before that, Tiverton have won one of their past four games, although it should be noted that they have played both Weston Super-Mare and Truro City, who occupy the top two spots in the Southern Premier South.
Exmouth will know full well what Tiverton are capable of, having played them in pre-season, and losing 5-1 at Ladysmead, so Town will be hoping to come away this time with a better result.
Speaking shortly after the Evesham game, manager Kevin Hill said: “It’s a chance to play fringe players or do I try and go for it, they are going to be strong.
We will go up there to win it but at the same time, I don’t want to go there and get a hiding, on top of the form we have been having, I’m mindful of it.”
