Exmouth Town will look to kickstart the second half of the season as they travel to the Causeway Ground, to take on Cinderford Town this Saturday (3pm KO) in the Southern League Division One South.

Following last weekend’s 5-0 win against Frome Town, which saw Exmouth earn their first win of 2023, Kevin Hill’s side will be looking to get their first away win of the new year.

Cinderford find themselves in 17th, looking over their shoulder at the teams in the relegation zone as they are currently three points clear of 19th placed Lymington.

Like most teams in the league, the Foresters have dealt with numerous postponements over the winter period, but they have had a mixed 2023 so far, with losses to Paulton and Sholing, but a good away draw at Bishops Cleeve, and a vital win against Bideford.

Just like Exmouth, Cinderford will hope to find their form in 2023 and take all three points to lift them up the table.

Speaking shortly after the Frome game, Exmouth Town manager Kevin Hill said: “It’s a different challenge, we haven’t been great away from home in a while, but hopefully the lads will have grown in confidence and do exactly what we have done today.

Start the game brightly, set an example early and start with a fast tempo.”
