MATCH PREVIEW: EXMOUTH TOWN VS AFC TOTTON

Exmouth Town will look to continue their unbeaten run this evening as they welcome 2nd placed AFC Totton to the Circle of Care Community Stadium in the Southern League Division One South.

Despite a disappointing 2-2 draw with Slimbridge on Saturday, Town have not tasted defeat in their last three games and could add a big win to that run if they can come out victorious tonight.

THE OPPOSITION

Totton are currently sat in second placed, ten points behind league leaders Sholing, but with three games in hand, so they can close that gap down to just one point if they win all three.

Manager Jimmy Ball, who has previously been interim manager at Forest Green and assistant to Paul Tisdale at Stevenage, has guided The Stags to their current position and they bounced back from a important loss to Sholing, by beating Paulton Rovers 1-0.

Former Luton Town, Aldershot and Woking striker Scott Rendell has scored 14 times this season, putting him third in the top scorers list, and the front man will be hoping to add to that tonight.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

Speaking shortly after the Slimbridge game, manager Kevin Hill said: “The expectation is for us to get hammered, Totton are beating everybody, they’ll come here Wednesday night and it’s a free hit for us, so go and enjoy it.

Express yourself, we are under the lights, what more do you need to get your tails up, these are the ones you want to get, we’ll be a different side Wednesday night.”
