MATCH PREVIEW: BISHOPS CLEEVE VS EXMOUTH TOWN

Exmouth Town take on Bishops Cleeve this Saturday, as they look to secure a much-needed Southern League Division One South win, at Kayte Lane.

2023 has not been kind to Town, and Exmouth will be desperate to score all three points as they look to earn their second win of the calendar year.

THE OPPOSITION

The Mitres currently sit 14th in the league, and have had an inconsistent run of form, beating Paulton, losing to Bristol Manor Farm and snatching a late draw away at Lymington Town two weeks ago, with their scheduled game last weekend being postponed.

Bishops Cleeve came out victorious the last time these two sides met, with two George Box goals condemning Town to their first home defeat of the season.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

Speaking after the Lymington game, Exmouth Town manager Kevin Hill said: “They beat us here, and on that surface, they will pop it round, but I’m not worried about Bishop’s Cleeve.

I’m worried about how the boys will take that defeat, if it hurts them enough, because it hurt me but hopefully it will hurt some.”
