MATCH PREVIEW: EXMOUTH TOWN VS TAVISTOCK AFC

Exmouth Town will look to build on last Saturday’s positive performance against Bishops Cleeve, as they welcome Tavistock AFC to the Circle of Care Community Stadium this weekend in a Southern League Division One South fixture.

Town drew 2-2 against Bishops Cleeve last weekend, where an own goal and a Ben Steer strike saw Exmouth lead 2-0, but two late goals meant that the game finished level at Kayte Lane.

THE OPPOSITION

They will take on promotion hopefuls and a team they know very well in Tavistock, who were promoted from the Western League alongside Exmouth last season, and the Lambs have comfortably settled into their new league.

Currently occupying the last play-off spot, Tavistock have scored two big wins as of late, winning against both Sholing and Bashley, putting them in a strong position heading into Saturday’s game.

The two sides met earlier this season, with the Lambs coming out on top with a 3-1 win, with two goals in the first ten minutes from Liam Prynn  and Ed Harrison giving Town a mountain to climb, and despite a spirited fightback, Exmouth could not find the equaliser.

ETSC AGM

The Exmouth Town Supporters Club will be hosting the AGM in the clubhouse, providing an update to current members about the status of their current projects, and carry out committee elections.

Following the meeting, club directors Stuart Shaw and Adam Fitzgerald will provide updates regarding football matters and the current status of the ground grading. All are welcome to attend.
