Exmouth Town will look to spoil a potential AFC Totton promotion party as they travel to the Snows Stadium this Saturday.

There are title permutations for the hosts, as if they win, they will secure promotion from the Southern League Division One South, and Town could play the role of the spoiler for this weekend.

Exmouth have enjoyed a better run of form as of late, having not lost in their last four, and that form could help Town settle into the game against the league leaders.

The Stags are clearly in the drivers seat in their promotion race with Sholing, needing only a point to secure the league title this Saturday, as well as having a much superior goal difference to their rivals.

Jimmy Ball’s side have only tasted defeat three times this season, and bounced back from a 0-0 draw at Tavistock by winning three games straight, against Cinderford, Lymington and Melksham.

Exmouth and Totton have already met this year, and it was the latter who came out on top, winning 3-1 at the Circle of Care Community Stadium, and despite a late Ethan Slater goal, it was relatively comfortable for the Stags.

Speaking shortly after the Bideford game, Exmouth Town manager Kevin Hill said: “These are the best games to play in, they are expected to go and turn us over.

We go there and put a shift in, they are the games you want to enjoy.”
