A disappointed Kevin Hill reflected on Exmouth Town’s 2-1 defeat away at Falmouth Town, in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.

Ethan Slater got Town off to a perfect start, slotting home after three minutes, but the hosts fought back and found the goals required to overturn Exmouth’s initial lead, and send them crashing out of the cup.

“I’m angry, we didn’t deserve to win today, going 1-0 up so early didn’t help us and we got so lackadaisical.

We started off really well in the first 10/15 minutes, but we went back into old habits but unless I do something about it, that will keep happening so I take some of the blame for how we set up, but they have got to work harder.

Fair play to Falmouth, they kept passing, moving the ball, you would think that we would talk more but all I could hear was Falmouth, we were chasing shadows.

I can’t fault them (Andrew Sowden/Harvey Field), I knew some would come out well, but some were not good enough.”
