MATCH PREVIEW: WIMBORNE TOWN VS EXMOUTH TOWN

Exmouth Town will face a tough Tuesday test tonight, as they travel to New Cuthbury to take on Wimborne Town in the Southern League Division One South.

In a battle of Torquay legends, with Tim Sills and Kevin Hill in the dugouts, the latter will be hoping to build on a decent performance on Saturday and get Town off to a strong start.

THE OPPOSITION

Wimborne are one of the favourites to win the league this term, and have started as they mean to go on by beating Bishop’s Cleeve 5-2 on opening day.

The last time Town travelled to New Cuthbury, it finished 2-1 to the hosts, with goals from Harry Morgan and Harry Baker sealing the victory for Wimborne, despite a late Levi Landricombe goal.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

Speaking shortly after the Evesham game, manager Kevin Hill said: “To me, Wimborne are favourites to win the league, and today they have won 5-2.

If we get anything from the Wimborne game it would be a plus, you look at our first three games and they are all teams you’d expect to be in the top five.

For us, it’s a tough start but if I come out with a couple more points away from home, even if it’s a few draws, one win one loss, I’ll take that.”
