MATCH PREVIEW: WILLAND ROVERS VS EXMOUTH TOWN

Exmouth Town will look to take their strong cup form into the league, as this Saturday, they head to Silver Street to take on local rivals Willand Rovers.

Fresh off the back of two successive wins in the Devon Bowl and FA Trophy, against Tavistock and Wimborne, Town are now on the hunt for their first league win of the 23/24 season.

THE OPPOSITION

Willand Rovers have enjoyed a superb start to the Southern League Division One South season, winning three games and losing one, only conceding one goal in those four games.

They have lost their last two matches against Paulton and Larkhall, but big wins against Hamworthy, Tavistock and Bishops Cleeve show that David Steele’s side are more than capable of being a threat in the division this year.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

Speaking shortly after the Wimborne game, Exmouth Town manager Kevin Hill said: “Willand are up there, flying high, they’ve only lost once and won the rest so in their eyes, on their patch, they will be favourites.

“If we can go there, stifle them, hopefully we can get something.”
