MATCH PREVIEW: EXMOUTH TOWN VS BEMERTON HEATH HARLEQUINS

Exmouth Town will hope to score their first Southern League Division One South win in the 23/24 season, as they welcome Bemerton Heath Harlequins to the Circle of Care Community Stadium on Wednesday evening (7:45pm KO).

Despite putting in a good performance, Town were knocked out of the FA Trophy by Kidlington, and Kevin Hill’s side now face a team that have acclimatised to life in a new division very well.

THE OPPOSITION

In a similar story to Exmouth, Bemerton Heath Harlequins have started the season with the same momentum that saw them promoted from Wessex League, and they currently occupy fifth place.

The Harlequins have enjoyed victories over the likes of Tavistock, Hamworthy and Frome, although the latter got their revenge in the FA Trophy this past weekend.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

When asked about the upcoming game, Exmouth Town manager Kevin Hill said: “It depends what Exmouth turns up, we might create a load of chances, but if we don’t stick them in, then we’ll be on the end of the same result we’ve had all season.

You fancy yourself at home, if the boys turn up then we can win, it’s all about believing and I’ve got to give them that belief that they can actually go and win.”
