MATCH PREVIEW: EVESHAM UNITED VS EXMOUTH TOWN

Exmouth Town will be hoping for three points for Christmas, as they travel to the Speirs & Hartwell Stadium, to take on Evesham United in the Southern League Division One South.

Following a tough defeat to Paulton Rovers, Town need to bounce back and cause a bit of an upset against play-off chasing Evesham.

THE OPPOSITION

After a tough start to the season, the Robins have started to rise up the table, and now find themselves in ninth position, just three points off fifth placed Bemerton Heath.

Evesham come into this one unbeaten in six, having earned some big wins against Yate Town and Tavistock, as well as some hard-fought draws against Cribbs and Larkhall.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

Speaking after the Paulton game, manager Kevin Hill said: “The pressure’s off, my lads are expected to get a spanking because we are where we are, and we can’t compete for 90 minutes.

We’ll turn up and be brilliant against these good sides, last time against Frome, these lads play to the level of who we are playing against.

We’ll go toe-to-toe with Evesham, it’ll be a close game, but that’s the nature of us.”
