Exmouth Town can make it three Southern League Division One South wins in a row this Saturday, as they travel to Meadow Lane to take on Westbury United.

Two Ben Steer goals inspired Exmouth to a 2-1 victory at the GlenMex Stadium against Bashley on Tuesday, lifting Town out of the relegation zone.

THE OPPOSITION

Westbury find themselves in 16th place, six points above the resurgent Exmouth, and have just ended a six game winless run with a 1-0 win against Paulton Rovers.

Ricky Hulbert’s side have struggled at times this season, but being on the right side of the relegation battle, they will know a win this season can put them one step closer to confirmed safety.

These two sides met earlier this season in a controversial match, where a red card to Aarron Denny allowed the Westbury manager Hulbert to score a late equaliser.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

Speaking after the Bashley game, Kevin Hill said: “We are down there for a reason, we’ve struggled all year.

We’ve had our first home win of the season, we’ve had our first back to back wins, so the lads will be looking forward to going to Westbury on Saturday.

“It’s going to be tough but we’ve got it in us, we just have to believe it.”
