Exmouth Town manager Kevin Hill was delighted with his side’s effort, as they held Southern League Division One South leaders Frome Town to a 0-0 draw at the Circle of Care Community Stadium.

It was an even game, where both sides had the chances to get the win but a point each was the fair result.

Speaking after the game, Hill said: “They are top of the league, the in-form team, I know we’ve been doing well recently but I told the lads, if we can keep our little run going, yes we would take a point, but the chances we had, we could have won that today.

But I’m delighted with a point, I was hoping for that and Paulton to lose, which makes it a nine point swing, we will keep taking points and chipping away, still four games to go.

The conditions were heavy for both sides, and I’m not saying it plays a massive factor, but second half (Chris) Wrighty’s kick is coming back, and he’s got a big kick, so it does become a factor and it does become hard.

It’s confidence, if you’ve got people cheering your name and enjoying it, praising you when they speak to you, it’s a great feeling and you want to keep doing it.”
