Exmouth Town played some fantastic football, as they cruised to a 7-0 victory against Torrington at the Circle of Care Community Stadium.

A hat-trick from Jack Thorne, and a brace for Tom Bath, as well as goals for Nathan Boncheski and Merson Ham, saw Town continue their hot goalscoring streak.

Exmouth got off to a great start, as Joe Belsten crossed the ball into the backpost, and Bath was on hand to head the ball home.

It took three minutes for the hosts to double their lead, as Ben Griffith set up fellow new signing Thorne, who found the back of the net with his headed effort.

Town were playing with plenty of confidence, and should have made it three as Thorne played the ball through to Bath, but his shot was over the bar.

Thorne was proving a real threat to the Torrington defence, as he twisted and turned past the away defence, although his effort was over.

Exmouth would make it three after 34 minutes, as Aarron Denny was denied by a good double save, but unfortunately for the goalkeeper, Bath was ready to finish the chance off.

Another new signing helped Thorne get his second, as a Morgan Williams through ball found the run of the former Bridgwater striker, and he duly slotted the ball home.

After making plenty of changes at the break, it would take Town a bit of time to find their rhythm.

With an hour gone, Isaac McCue, Ace High and Ben Steer linked up, with High putting the latter in on goal, but his shot was straight at the goalkeeper.

Steer and Boncheski both had chances to make it five, with the former steering his effort wide, and the young striker also missing the target.

The ball would find the back of the net with ten minutes to go, as Boncheski was able to flick the ball across goal into the path of Thorne, who got his hat-trick with a finish from close range.

Moments later, Merson Ham made it six as he headed home from a corner.

Boncheski would score the final goal of the game, as he was brought down by the goalkeeper, and stepped up to take the penalty, which he fired into the bottom right corner.

A comfortable victory for Town, and attention turns to the visit of Tiverton Town on Tuesday evening.
