MATCH PREVIEW: MELKSHAM (A) & YATE (A)
Exmouth Town have a busy bank holiday weekend, as they head to Melksham on Saturday, and Yate on Monday, hoping to continue their great Southern League Division One South start.
After a disappointing defeat against Brixham on Wednesday, Town will aim to get back to winning ways against two tough sides.
THE OPPOSITION
Melksham Town
Melksham have started the season well, sitting in fourth place with a win and a draw to their name.
Mark Collier’s side earned a emphatic 6-1 win against Cinderford, and an impressive point away to Bristol Manor Farm, as well as progressing in the FA Cup, beating Welton Rovers and Shaftesbury, with the latter going to a replay which ended 4-1.
Yate Town
One of the favourites for promotion, Yate had a sensational end to the 23/24 season, and have carried on their form for this season, currently in third with two wins.
The Bluebells beat Tavistock 1-0, and Bishops Cleeve 2-1, as well as progressing to the first qualifying round of the FA Cup, beating Holyport, and Town’s future FA Trophy opponents Kidlington to get there.
