Exmouth Town face a tough test in the Southern League Division One South on Wednesday, as they take on Mousehole AFC at the Complete Infrastructure Stadium.

Following a 3-2 win against Thatcham, Town’s will aim to take that momentum into the start of a busy schedule.

THE OPPOSITION

One of the teams expected to be in the play-off hunt, the Seagulls currently find themselves just outside the top 5, sat in 8th with games in hand on the rest of the current contenders.

After a really good start to the season, Mousehole are facing their first blip of their campaign, having lost their last two league games against Melksham and Evesham.

Town will be well aware of how good Mousehole can be, and having picked up victories against Bideford, Thatcham and Falmouth, Jake Ash’s side remain one of the best in the division.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

Speaking after the Thatcham game, joint-manager Dave Pearse said: “(We expect) Total football, if they are still doing that. I don’t expect them to change.

Lots of energy, a bit like today, but they will have that extra quality on the ball.

It will be a different challenge, but we will have to come again and fight another fight, we’ll be ready.”
