Exmouth Town face a big test on Wednesday evening, as they welcome Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Argyle to the Complete Infrastructure Stadium in the Devon Bowl.

Following a superb run of form in the Southern League Division One South, Town are in good shape to face a strong Argyle side, who have found themselves on an unbeaten run as well.

THE OPPOSITION

Wayne Rooney’s side, who were expected to be battling relegation in the Championship, have had a mixed start to the season, but find themselves in a healthy 16th place, one point above the drop zone.

The U18s side have had an excellent start to their campaign, setting their stall out early near the top of the table, currently sat in second place.

Wins against Exeter City, Oxford United and Swindon will fill the youngsters with plenty of confidence ahead of a potential senior test on Wednesday.
