MATCH PREVIEW: EXMOUTH TOWN VS TAVISTOCK

Exmouth Town welcome familiar opposition this Saturday, as they take on Tavistock at the Complete Infrastructure Stadium.

Following an encouraging draw against Melksham, Town will look to turn those home stalemates into wins against their local rivals.

THE OPPOSITION

Currently sat in 19th, occupying the final spot in the relegation zone, it has not been an easy season for the Lambs, although they do have two games in hand on 18th placed Shaftesbury.

Stuart Henderson’s side are winless in their last five, although have shown great spirit to find late equalisers in their games against Cribbs and Larkhall.

The two teams met earlier this season, with Mike Landricombe’s header being the difference, with Town winning 1-0.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

We spoke to joint-manager Dave Pearse following Town’s 2-2 draw against Melksham, who said: “It’s going to be another derby, just like Bideford.

They’ll raise their game 10/20% because they are away at Exmouth, and it’s a derby so they’ll want to ruin our play-off aspirations.

You get a sense in the group after the game that they know they’ve got to improve, in both boxes, so we’ll have a good training session this week and go from there.”
