MATCH PREVIEW: SHAFTESBURY VS EXMOUTH TOWN
Exmouth Town will look to continue their unbeaten 2025 as they head to the Cockrams to take on Shaftesbury, in the Southern League Division One South.
A 4-1 win against Didcot last Saturday made it four wins from Town’s last six, and kept that firm grip on second place.
THE OPPOSITION
Following promotion from the Western League last season, it has been a difficult season for the Rockies, who are back under the management of Jim Milligan, who returned from Bemerton Heath Harlequins in January.
They currently sit in 18th, and have struggled so far this year, after beating Melksham on New Year’s Day, they are winless in their previous five.
It was a comfortable win for Town when these two sides met at the Complete Infrastructure Stadium, with goals from Callum Shipton and Tom Bath making the difference.
PRE-MATCH CHAT
Speaking after the Didcot game, joint-manager Kevin Hill said: “It will be a bit like the Bishops Cleeve game, on a 4g pitch.
We know what we are like away from home, I know Shaftesbury have lost their last two but they will want to put things right.
They are in a relegation scrap like we were, so they aren’t going to give up, so it’s going to be tough.”
