Exmouth Town will look to bounce back from their first defeat in 2025, as they welcome Bashley to the Complete Infrastructure Stadium this Saturday.

It was a deserved 2-1 defeat for Town against Shaftesbury, but after a fantastic start to the new year, the aim will be to get back on track this weekend.

THE OPPOSITION

Bashley have been a mainstay of the Southern League Division One South, and are currently sat in 11th place, having slightly fell away from the play-off chase.

Inconsistency has been the main issue for the Bash, who have had some fantastic results, but have been unable to follow up, beating Westbury, but losing to Tavistock, and most recently beating Willand 3-2.

The reverse fixture was one of the highlight’s of Exmouth’s season, as they ran out 4-o winners at the Veho Community Stadium.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

Speaking after the Shaftesbury game, joint-manager Dave Pearse said: “I expect a massive reaction from the players, and I think we will see that.

“Hopefully we can get the three points, and start another run, if this can be the only loss in the next nine then we won’t be far away.”
