Exmouth Town welcome Bemerton Heath Harlequins to the Complete Infrastructure Stadium on Wednesday, in what is a big Southern League Division One South play-off race six-pointer.

Having been beaten 1-0 at the A-Class Arena, Town will be looking to get some revenge on the Harlequins.

THE OPPOSITION

Since the 1-0 win against Exmouth, Bemerton Heath have earned a good point away at Yate Town, but were beaten 1-0 at home to Falmouth Town through a late Rubin Wilson goal.

Being only two points away from Malvern Town, who hold the final play-off spot, a win against Town will see them directly overtake both them and Bishops Cleeve, while the hosts can only go level on points.

It was a scrappy affair at the A-Class Arena, with Joe Smith’s first half goal making the difference.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

Speaking after the Evesham game, joint-manager Dave Pearse said: “If the lads turn up like we have today, we could win the game.

If we dip back into what we have been recently then we won’t, but we’ll be looking to turn up and get three points, and kick on again.”
