MATCH PREVIEW: CRIBBS VS EXMOUTH TOWN

Exmouth Town’s bank holiday double header begins with a trip to The Lawns, as they take on Cribbs FC this Saturday.

With the Bristol-based side perhaps given a lifeline through Shaftesbury’s ground grading issues, both teams have plenty to play for in this game.

THE OPPOSITION

It has not been a great season for Cribbs, as following an incredible first season in the Southern League Division One South, they lost a lot of that team and now find themselves in the relegation zone.

A last minute winner against Melksham provided them their only win from their previous eight games, although with the news that has come this week could provide an extra motivation to break that run this weekend.

In the reverse fixture, two Louis Morison goals were enough for Town to break down their resilient defence, winning 2-0.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

Speaking after the Falmouth game, joint-manager Dave Pearse said: “I don’t think they are relegated yet, Cribbs or Helston, so we need to play like we did today (vs Falmouth), find that energy, work rate, ruthlessness and the quality.

They will be two tough games, the results have been kind to us and we have been given a lifeline, so we need to go into this and try and get all six points.”
