Exmouth Town will look to bounce back from Saturday, as they host Portishead Town on Wednesday, in their first Southern League Division One South home game.

After defeat to Swindon Supermarine, Town will look to earn their first points of the season against the newly promoted side, who beat Didcot 6-0 last weekend.

The Opposition

Having been promoted from the Western League last season, the Posset have made a clear statement of intent over the weekend, thrashing Didcot in their first game.

With players such as Jay Murray, Kyle Egan, and former Town players Dave Thorne and Jack Thorne, who played at the Complete Infrastructure Stadium last season.

Expected to impress following back to back promotions, it will certainly be a tough test against Kye Mountford’s side.

Pre-Match Chat

Speaking after the Swindon Supermarine game, joint-manager Dave Pearse said: “We know that their attacking options are very strong, they’ve had a double promotion which is an amazing achievement.

We’ll have to be a lot better than we were today, and it will be a tough game, as is every game in this league, and it’s a chance to put it right.”
