Exmouth Town face a tough test this Saturday, as they travel to the Meads Of Melksham Community Football Stadium, to take on Melksham Town.

Looking to earn their first win of the Southern League Division One South season, Town will hope to build on last weekend’s FA Cup win against Buckland.

The Opposition

It has been a good start to the season for Mark Collier’s side, who recovered from an FA Cup replay defeat away at AFC Portchester, with a win against Sporting Club Inkberrow and a point on the road at Willand Rovers.

A club that are always looking to progress, many will consider Melksham one of the favourites to make the play-offs this season, and an unbeaten start will help solidify that.

Both games between the Towns last season ended in high-scoring draws, so there is usually little to separate when it comes to these two teams.

Pre-Match Chat

Speaking after the Buckland game, joint-manager Dave Pearse said: “It’s going to be physical, a very tough place to go but hopefully this win galvanises us a bit.

It’s two tough games on Saturday and Monday but hopefully we can start getting some points on the board.”
