Exmouth Town earned their first win of the 25/26 Southern League Division One South season, as they beat Bristol Manor Farm 4-0 at the Complete Infrastructure Stadium.

Two goals from Aarron Denny complimented by Ben Griffith and Matt Wright, in what was a clinical display from Town.

Kevin Hill and Dave Pearse made four changes to the team that drew at Melksham, with Ed Butcher, Ben Griffith, Jack Kennell and Josh Cann coming into the side, before an injury in the warm-up meant that Isaac McCue replaced Ethan Slater.

McCue would be involved in Town’s lightning fast start, as he squared the ball to Denny, following Griffith’s hard work, with the midfielder slotting the ball into the back of the net.

The visitors almost equalised instantly, as Brandon Bak won the ball in the Town box, but Aaron Dearing came out quickly to deny the striker.

Bak would have another chance to score, as a long-ball saw him in behind the Town defence, with his finish going straight at Dearing.

Exmouth would extend their lead before the 20 minute mark, as a long ball would somehow find its way through, and Griffith would be on hand to slot the ball past James Walker.

It was almost three for Town, as a chance unexpectedly came for Griffith, who sent his effort into the side netting.

The ball would find its way into the back of the net once again, with a superb Wright header going past Walker, but he was ruled offside.

Manor Farm would continue to threaten, and Joe Belsten would be forced into a fantastic goal-line clearance, after Thomas Blake followed up a great Dearing save but was denied by the Town full-back.

The hosts would take advantage of the missed opportunities, as an Ed Butcher free-kick would scramble into the path of Denny, who fired past the goalkeeper.

Exmouth would find the fourth goal at a perfect time, seven minutes after the break, as a corner fell perfectly into the path of Wright, who smashed the ball home.

The game would drop in tempo after the fourth, understandably given the hot conditions and the quick turnaround.

Denny would have two half-chances at getting a hat-trick, but his first effort was straight at the goalkeeper, before mis-kicking a second chance.

Bak would have an attempt at getting his side on the scoresheet, but it was not to be, as his effort was directed at Dearing.

A great win for Exmouth, which makes it two clean sheets in a row, as they get ready for a trip to Shaftesbury next Saturday, in the FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round.
