Exmouth Town have an opportunity to start another cup run on Saturday, as they take on Swindon Supermarine in the FA Trophy, at the Complete Infrastructure Stadium.

After defeat in the FA Cup, Town will look to avenge an earlier league defeat against Supermarine, who ran out 4-2 winners on opening day.

The Opposition

It has been a mixed start for Bobby Wilkinson’s side, who have won two and lost two in the league so far.

Two home wins against Town and Willand Rovers have contrasted with defeats away at Sporting Club Inkberrow and Shaftesbury, although a 4-1 cup win away at Tavistock has shown they are capable on the road.

Town’s deservedly lost on opening day, although three of the four goals came from individual errors, so there is an instant improvement to be made one month later.

Pre-Match Chat

Speaking after the Shaftesbury game, joint-manager Dave Pearse said: “I’m not going to take too much from the first game, it was the first one of the season.

If we are to go off tonight, I think we’ll be fine, and there will be no fear.

I think we thought ‘they’ve just come down they’ll be one of the favourites’ but now seven games in, I think we’ll be ready.”
