Match Preview: Exmouth Town vs Didcot Town

Exmouth Town will look to get back to winning ways in the Southern League Division One South, as they welcome Didcot Town to the Complete Infrastructure Stadium on Saturday.

Town have only lost one of their last five games, but four draws in that period means that they will be wanting to add a win to that form.

It is also U16s go free (must be accompanied by an adult), which is an offer that will remain for the rest of the season.

We also have a fantastic offer for any Exeter City or Burton Albion fans looking for their football fix on Saturday, as displaying either your match ticket or season ticket at the gate will give you a 25% discount.

The Opposition

After an awful start to the campaign, Didcot have been resurgent in the league and now sit 14th in the table, having only lost on of their last five games.

A chaotic 4-4 draw with Mousehole was their latest game, but wins against Tavistock, Falmouth and Larkhall have showcased what the Railwaymen can do.

The two sides have already met this season at the Christchurch Homes Loop Meadow Stadium, where a Matt Wright goal separated the two teams, with Town winning 1-0.

Pre-Match Chat

Speaking after the Winchester City game, joint-manager Kevin Hill said: “They’ve picked up massively, they had a 4-4 draw with Mousehole today.

We’ve got to look at ourselves, and whilst we’ve got injuries, we’ve only lost two in 15 games but switch that around and we haven’t won in five.

Draws have got to turn into wins, we haven’t taking our chances to win games, but we know we can stay in games when we aren’t playing well.”
