Exmouth Town face a tough test on Tuesday evening, as they travel to Bristol Road to take on Southern League Division One South leaders Portishead Town.

Having only lost one out of their last 11 games, Exmouth will need to be at their best to get a result against the high-flying Posset.

The Opposition

Portishead have seamlessly slotted into the Southern League, and are coming off the back of a massive win against second place Winchester City.

Kye Mountford has built a strong team, capable of hurting sides in plenty of different areas, and Town will need to showcase their resilience to get all three points.

These two sides met earlier in the season, with a late Dean Griffiths goal giving Posset all three points, in a 3-2 win.

Pre-Match Chat

Speaking after the Didcot game, joint-manager Kevin Hill said: “They’ll pump us and hopefully we’ll nick a goal on the counter!

It’s going to be tough, but that’s the sort of game we thrive in.

You saw it earlier in the season, mistakes cost us in that game, but we can go there and get something.

They are flying at the moment, but if they get complacent and that suits us, if not then they’ll be massive favourites and you would take a point.”
