Exmouth Town will aim to make it three Southern League Division One South wins in a row this Saturday, as they take on Bashley at the Complete Infrastructure Stadium.

Following a hard-fought win against Willand Rovers, they will face a tough test in a Bashley side who have just appointed a new manager in Wayne Crutcher.

The Opposition

It has been a tough season for the Bash, both on and off the pitch, but having appointed a new chairman alongside new committee members, there appears to be light at the end of the tunnel.

On the pitch, Crutcher inherits a team in 21st, ten points away from safety, having not won in 12 games.

Town fans will know that despite this, they have still been a competitive side as found out when they drew 1-1 with Exmouth earlier in the season, in what was a close game.

Pre-Match Chat

Speaking after the Willand game, manager Kevin Hill said: “They will work hard, they’ve got a new gaffer so they’ll want to impress.

We cannot take anyone lightly, we’ve got to be on our game, our tempo and our press has to be right else we are no good, you’ve seen that.

We have to come out of the traps, if we are not on it then it will be tough, then it can get bad.”
