Exmouth Town produced a superb performance on the road to beat Sporting Club Inkberrow 3-0 at Sands Road, to make it three away wins in a row.

Goals from Ross Edwards, Matt Wright and Tom Bath saw Town secure all three points, in what is their longest journey of the season.

Exmouth started off well, with Wright having an early chance from a corner, although he was not able to divert it on target.

Inkberrow would start to find their feet in the game, with a long range effort flying straight into the path of Aaron Dearing.

The visitors would put a quick move together, as Morcom kept the ball alive for Bath, who teed up Joe Belsten, but his shot could only find the side netting.

Town would be the side to open the scoring, as Morcom floated into a crowd of bodies in the home box, with Edwards rising highest to head home.

The hosts would instantly look to get back onto level terms, as threatening cross came close to finding Aidan Clark, zipping past the striker.

Just before half-time, it would be Exmouth who went into the break two-up, as a Morcom delivery was perfectly-placed for Wright, and his header left Gabriel Bajrami with no chance.

The hosts, who had not lost at home since the start of November, would come out swinging to start the second half, but would struggle to breach a resolute Town back three, who were in the right place at the right time.

With the Eagles applying pressure to the Town defence, it would be a goal against the run of play that would seal the game for the visitors.

Josh Cann would hit the ball forwards, and as Will Moore tried to play the ball back to the goalkeeper, Bath swept in front to steal the ball and slot past Bajrami to put the game beyond any doubt.

Inkberrow would look to get a goal back, but would once again struggle to create anything of note against the Exmouth back-line.

Ethan Slater and Kash Akingbade would both have opportunities to extend Town’s lead, but the shots would go over and deflect wide respectively.

Town will now look forward to next Saturday, where they welcome Mousehole to the Complete Infrastructure Stadium.

Line-Up: Dearing, Morcom, Belsten, Cann, Landricombe, Edwards, Slater (Shore, 87), Shipton, Griffith, Bath (Akingbade, 73), Wright (Steer, 87).

Subs not used: Knowles.
