Exmouth Town face a long trip to the TUGO Community Stadium, as they face Southern League Premier Central side Banbury United in the 1st Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.

It has been a slow start to the season for the Puritans, whilst Town are coming off the back of their best win yet, beating Tiverton Town 2-1 away from home.

The Opposition

Banbury have not had the greatest beginning to the season, sitting in 18th in the league, but did start off the season well.

They beat RC Warwick, and have picked up points against Bishops Stortford and Stourbridge, but they have also conceded ten goals in their last four matches.

The Puritans possess some brilliant players, including Levi Steele, who haunted Exmouth in the Southern League Division One South play-offs two years ago.

Pre-Match Chat

Speaking shortly after the Tiverton game, manager Kevin Hill said: “It’s going to be hard, we don’t know much about Banbury.

We will turn up and focus on ourselves, it’s a bit like what Bridgwater and Bovey (Tracey) have had against us, it’s a bit of a free hit.

We’ve got a couple people missing, but it is what it is, if we turn up we can be a match for anyone.

We’ll enjoy it for what is is, and it will be a great day.”
